Taken from an eBay auction.  Description reads

Ukrainian local revenues.  1923. Just after inflation period. Special local edition for usage at the Ukraine only. The text is in Ukrainian. Scarce set.

Opening bid was $20.  Sold for $183 (May 00)

Taken from an eBay auction.  Description reads

Odessa (Ukraine) local revenue stamp - 1916 :  15kop lila brown and 20kop grey green on cardboard issued locally in Odessa (Ukraine) for usage instead of coins just for change purposes. Circulated for a short time in Odessa only. Stamps are in perfect collectible condition. On the front of stamps depicted the Coat of ArEnd of 1923. The inflation period ended at August 1923. The curency was in gold value. This three imperforate (!) stamps was surcharged with a word "ZOLOTOM" in Cyrillic, which means "IN GOLD". No gum as issued. Very hard to findms of Odessa city. Very scarce and rarely offered especially in such perfect condition.

Opening bid was $1, sold for $21.50 (May 00).

Ukraine local revenue stamps :  End of 1923. The inflation period ended at August 1923. The currency was in gold value. These three imperforate (!) stamps were surcharged with a word "ZOLOTOM" in Cyrillic, which means "IN GOLD". No gum as issued. Very hard to find.

Ukraine local revenue stamps :  1924. Even though Ukraine was now a legitimate Republic of the USSR, it continued to issue local revenue stamps! New clishet [I don't know what the seller means by this] with a value printed "in gold". Very small circulation, which was stopped from further issue and use just after its issue by a special decree of the Peoples Commissar of Communication of USSR, Mr. Podbel'sky. This set of two are very rare in the collections.

The auction had an opening bid of $70 and no-one bid on it (May 00).
